Düsseldorf has much to offer!

Did you already know that you can discover Düsseldorf in many different ways? You can walk (with a guide), take a bicycle, take a segway, go on a bus-tour or cruise with a boat. There are several City Tours in Düsseldorf - the perfect way to discover the Metropole!

OUR TIPS FOR YOU!

The longest bar in the world
Almost everyone knows the legendary "Altstadt", the old city centre of Düsseldorf. The streets, squares and the Rhine promenade with cafés and "Biergärten" are particularly popular in summer when all the bars form one big terrace.

Modern and trendy - The Medienhafen (Media Tower)
The Media Harbour is a good example of a successful modern urban development with highly imaginative architecture. An ideal starting point for a tour around the Media Harbour is the 234m high Rhine Tower (Rheinturm), offering a breathtaking view over Düsseldorf.

Famous events
Each year a great number of large events - that attract millions of people from far and near - take place in Düsseldorf. Some of these recurring events are: carnival, one of Europe's largest fairs, the Jazz rally, the Japan day with extraordinary fireworks and the impressive Christmas markets.

Rhein Tower

The Rhine Tower is a television tower in Düsseldorf. With 240.50 meters it is the tallest building in the city and the tenth highest television tower in Germany. The Rhine Tower was built between 1978 and 1982 and serves both as a carrier of antennas for radio as well as a lookout tower. The tower, which is located directly on the banks of the Rhine river, has a so-called light sculpture, which is considered to be the largest digital clock in the world, on it's side facing the old town. The Rhine Tower is open to the public and shapes the cityscape of Düsseldorf as one of its landmarks. The restaurant, rotating around the tower, allows guests to enjoy a spectacular panorama of the illuminated city in the evening.
